![]() ![]() If you see a GRUB menu but selecting a boot option in it immediately (with no delay) produces the unchanging blinking-cursor display, then most likely either GRUB is misconfigured or it's having problems loading your kernel. If you don't get past the initial firmware stages, for instance, it could be you've got a defective motherboard, that your disk cabling is bad, or that your boot loader isn't loading. How far you get in that sequence will tell you where to begin debugging.
